JERRY WAYNE “FLATFOOT” RAINES

Jerry Wayne “Flatfoot” Raines, age 62, of Middlesboro, KY passed away Thursday April 27, 2017 at Middlesboro A.R.H.

He was born February 2, 1955 to the late Clarence “Toots” and Doxie Raines.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Grant Raines, and Freddie Raines, and granddaughter Gracie Lynn Raines.

He is survived by the following members of his family, loving wife Martha Miracle Raines, son Wayne Allen (Jessica) Raines, daughters Rebecca Jane (Brian) Capron, Patricia Gail West, grandchildren Savannah Brock, Austin West, Bryan Capron, Dustin Raines, Samantha Faith Raines, Timothy Wayne Raines, adopted child Devon Zachary, step-grandchildren Tyler Sturdivant, Taylor Sturdivant, sister Brenda (Clarence) Mason, and brother James Raines. And a host of Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will follow at 8:00pm with Rev. Clarence Mason officiating in the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00am in the Old Yellow Creek cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

DENNIS RAY DUPES

Dennis Ray Dupes, 59, of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his home.

He is survived by his Daughter: Jenna Vaughn, of Cookeville, TN.

Sister: Joy Denise Lowery (Bubba) of White House TN.

Sister: Debbie Dupes Howell (Mike) of Nashville TN.

Niece: Rachel Joy Wells (Jeff) of Nashville TN and great nephews Elijah McCartney and Jude Lennon Wells.

Long-time special friends: Gary Smith, Roger Orr, and Ricky Bridges. Many friends and cousins in Knoxville TN and Middlesboro KY.

Special friend: Tammy Burke Howard, Middlesboro KY.

He was born and raised in Nashville TN, and attended McGavock High School. He also lived and worked in Knoxville, TN; with his late Uncle Floyd Justice.

He retired after many years, as the manager for Cumberland Village Apartments Middlesboro KY.

Preceded in death by father, Johnny Ray Dupes, and mother, Juanita Bridges Dupes, Nashville TN.

Memorial service and burial of ashes to be held at Bookwalter Cemetery Knoxville, TN.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, mourning, or crying of pain. For the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4

GEORGE WASHINGTON HUNTER

George Washington Hunter, 76, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017 at his home in Speedwell, Tennessee.

He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his family and was loved by everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Clara Hunter and host of brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Louise Hunter, Children Melissa (Randy) Roberts of Middlesboro, KY, Angie (Bart) Gent of Middlesboro, KY, Aaron (Angie) Hunter of Cumberland Gap, TN, Amanda (Wade) Arnette of New Tazewell, TN, Jason (Leslie) Hunter of Ewing, VA; Grandchildren Kendra Epperson, Kayla Jones, Katelyn Arnette, Brooke Baker, Tiffany Hunter, Riley Gent, Grace Gent, Millie Roberts, Donnie Hunter, Karol Hunter, Brantley Hunter and Marlee Roberts; Special Family Trey, Nick and Haley Earls; Great-Granddaughter Ava Grace Epperson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on Pump Hollow Road in Speedwell, Tennessee with Rev. Jason Hunter officiating, obituary will be read by Dale Myers. Music will be provided by Dale Myers and Bill Angel. Graveside services will follow in the Hunter Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wade Arnette, Randy Roberts, Bart Gent, Riley Gent, Jeff Cupp, Brent Epperson and Clifford Hunter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Jones, Thomas Hunter and Buzzard Massengill.

The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

DIANA SUE CAPPS SHACKELFORD

Diana Sue Capps Shackelford, age 69, of Middlesboro, KY passed away Friday April 21, 2017 at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born September 6, 1947 in Middlesboro, KY, the daughter of the late Charles Edward Capps and Rosetta “Rose” Capps who survives.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her sister Shirley Hensley.

She is survived by the following members of her family, mother Rosetta “Rose” Capps, sons Jason Shackelford, Lincoln Shackelford, and Chris Shackelford, sister Donna Faye Sowders, brothers David Capps, Gary Capps, and Ronald Capps, grandchildren Hailey Grace Shackelford, Dalton Shackelford, and Hayden Shackelford, and host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Padgett officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

DANNY K. MUNSEY

Danny K. Munsey, 61, of New, Tazewell, Tennessee passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was born June 28, 1955 in Beechwood, Michigan the son of the late Frank and Mary Sampson Munsey.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Bobbie Lewis. He is survived by his special life-long companion Kathy Walker, two daughters Samantha and Chloie Munsey, brother David Munsey and a sister Anna Collins.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 7:00pm at Sugar Grove Baptist Church in New Tazewell, TN with Rev. Jimmy Brock officiating.

GERALDINE SHACKELFORD

Geraldine M. Shackelford, 87 of Fostoria, Ohio died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. She was born March 11, 1930 in Oleika, KY to Sewell Fuson Peace & Memphis (Brady) Peace.  She married Clyde Shackelford June 27, 1947 in Bell Co., KY he died April 7, 2002.

Geraldine is survived by son Steve (Wendy) Shackelford of Fostoria, daughters Gwendolyn “Wendy” (Joe) Burrows & Sue (Bob) Garza both of Fostoria, brother Glenn Peace of Fostoria, sister Brenda Abner of Pineville, KY, 11 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, 21 Great Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ralph Shackelford, daughter Virginia Shackelford, brothers Jack, Ralph & Roger Peace, sisters Jewell Warf, Ella Epley, Elaine McDonald.

Geraldine was a homemaker and a member of the Dillon Road Baptist Church, Fostoria, OH.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Middlesboro, KY with Reverend Larry Kidwell officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, Ohio, and 2 hours prior to services Tuesday at the church in Middlesboro, KY.  Burial will be in the Green Hills Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY.

Memorials can be made to the Dillon Road Baptist Church, Fostoria.
