GLORIA JEAN WILSON LEE

Gloria Jean Wilson Lee, the only child of Clifford and Lovetta Wilson, was born October 17, 1942 in Middlesboro, KY, and died May 14, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.

Jeannie, as she was affectionately known, married Kenneth Lee, on October 31, 1965, and to that union a daughter, Joy Denise, was born. Jeannie was a faithful member of Old Yellow Creek Baptist church for over 50 years. She was as well, the primary caregiver for her mother for many years, even as she fought her own illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Lovetta Wilson, and her husband, Kenneth Lee.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Joy D. Taylor and husband Richard Taylor, and the light of her life, her grandson, Travis Ryan Lee Taylor. And a host of many other family members.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Lee and his staff at the Irene and Howard Baker Cancer Treatment Center.

At Mom’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral; however we will have a celebration of life for Jeannie and her husband Kenneth Lee that passed December 12, 2016. Celebration of Life will be Memorial Day weekend time and location will be announced at a later date. Everyone is welcome at the Celebration of Life.

Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is in charge of all arrangements. www.greenhillsfuneralhome.com
