She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Tilmon and Mary Lee Britton Cosby, her infant son Gary Ray Cosby, Sisters Maxine, Faye and Patricia, Brothers Denvil, Jimmy, Ronnie, Troy and Coy and her significant other Clint Cosby Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Brasfield; Grandsons Alex Maiden and Javon Brasfield; Sons Steve Cosby, Roger Ellison Jr. and Jerry Ellison; Daughter Debbie Freeman; Sisters Marie Shepard of Springfield, Ohio, Jean Brooks of New Tazewell, TN, Brenda Litteral of St. Paris, Ohio; Brothers Dennis, David, Danny, and Terry Cosby all of Harrogate, Tennessee, Darrell Cosby of Springfield, Ohio; Special Neighbor Buck Brown and her fur baby Moo-Moo and a host of Nieces, Nephews and friends mourn her passing.
Wanda was a devoted mother, homemaker and farm worker. She worked long days and saw very little rest. She never met a stranger. She could talk to anyone and is loved by everyone who knew her.
The family wants to extend special thanks to Amedysis Home Health, Claiborne Medical Center and Smokey Mountain Hospice, their staff was there for her and the family through her all of her sickness and served till the end.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Baker officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the Burchett Cemetery on Wheeler Road. Pallbearers will be Alex Maiden, Larry “Buck” Brown, Austin Slusher, Anthony Brooks, Joseph Vasby, Larry Brooks III and William Brooks. Honorary Pallbearer Javon Brasfield.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Green Hills Funeral Home.
In Lieu of Flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Green Hills Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
